West Simsbury is a census-designated place (CDP) and section of the town of Simsbury in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The population of the CDP was 2,447 at the 2010 census. West Simsbury occupies the west-central part of the town of Simsbury and is bordered to the east by Simsbury Center and to the south by Weatogue. Connecticut Route 309 is the main road through the community, leading east to Simsbury Center and northwest to North Canton. According to the United States Census Bureau, the West Simsbury CDP has a total area of 4.4 square miles (11.3 km2), all land.

Simsbury Historical Society – The Simsbury Historical Society occupies a beautiful and convenient two-acre site located in the center of Simsbury. Tour any of the buildings, attend a special event or visit the archives year-round. Enjoy the grounds and gardens in full color, spring through fall. Established in 1911, the Simsbury Historical Society continues its stewardship of Simsbury’s past, present and future.

Theatre Guild of Simsbury – The Theatre Guild of Simsbury is a non-profit organization which was formed in 1972 by a group of Simsbury residents. Since our inception our mission has been to enrich the Farmington Valley community by producing affordable and entertaining, quality theater, supporting arts education through our scholarship program and providing an outlet for creativity and community involvement.

Flamig Farm – Founded in 1907 by Herman Flamig who was Nevin’s Great Grandfather and a German immigrant, Flamig Farm has survived being (among other things) a 12 cow dairy, an egg retailer with a few thousand producing chickens, a top soil mining operation, a snow plowing service and an organic vegetable farm with 10 cultivated acres. At one time, Flamig Farm had three teams of draft horses and did lots of individual and customized hayrides as well as carriage rides for weddings.
